Dr. Shifa Khan
Dr. Shifa Khan is a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist committed to achieving exemplary treatment outcomes in obstetrics and various gynecological disorders. She completed her MD in obstetrics and gynecology from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. Dr. Khan pursued advanced infertility training in Keil, Germany, and received training in aesthetic and functional gynecology from IAVA, Mumbai. Moreover, she completed an Ian Donald course of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a preventive oncology and colposcopy course conducted by SNHC.

Diagnosis of endometriosis involves a thorough history, gynecological examination, and confirmation through radiological tests such as pelvic ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI. Blood investigations, including serum CA-125 and CA-19 levels, are also part of the diagnostic process. Laparoscopy is often necessary to confirm the diagnosis.
The management of endometriosis includes pain management and infertility management. Pain management options encompass medical and surgical approaches. Medical management involves non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for pain relief, progesterone's like Dinogest, combined estrogen-progesterone pills, LNG intrauterine devices, GnRH agonists, Danazol, and Aromatase inhibitors.
