Enlightenment Through Engagement: Interactive Sessions on Human Rights


The Social Responsive Cell at Parul University, in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission, orchestrated a dynamic one-day training program centred on Human Rights. The event, held on March 22nd, 2024, at Parul University Campus in Vadodara, witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of approximately 100 individuals, marking a significant stride towards fostering awareness and understanding of human rights issues.

The program aimed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and insights into various dimensions of human rights, nurturing a culture of respect, dignity, and equality within our society. Through interactive sessions, expert lectures, and engaging discussions, attendees gleaned valuable insights into the importance of upholding human rights principles in personal and professional domains.

Among the participants were students from various faculties of Parul University, faculty members, and esteemed members of the community, including women. Their active engagement and expressions of appreciation underscored the significance of the initiative. The event provided a vibrant platform for sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and collectively advocating for the protection and promotion of human rights.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Amit Ganatra, Provost of Parul University, and Prof. Dr. M.N. Parmar, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work at Parul University. Their inspiring words illuminated the event, setting the tone for impactful discourse. Additionally, distinguished personalities such as Ms. Sangeeta Macwan, Project

Manager at SAHAJ; Ms. Susan Samson, Project Director at Faith Foundation; representatives from the Vadodara Police's SHE Team; and Ms. Jagruti Solanki, Advocate from the Waghodia Bar Association, added immense value to the proceedings. Their insights instilled a renewed sense of hope among participants regarding their fundamental human rights.
