Coming from a small town where early marriage often dictates a woman's fate, my journey is a testament to women's limitless potential. Despite societal pressures nudging me towards a conventional path, I charted my own course, buoyed by the unwavering support of my husband. Venturing into the Shipping Industry, I embarked on a professional odyssey, defying expectations and carving out my niche. The arrival of my two daughters marked a turning point, presenting me with unique challenges to navigate. Throughout this journey, the guiding hand of Captain Alok Kumar has been indispensable. His unwavering support and encouragement have propelled me forward, instilling in me the belief that no dream is too audacious to pursue. My story is not just about personal triumph; it's a beacon of inspiration for both women and men alike. Captain Alok Kumar's advocacy for my aspirations sets a powerful example, underscoring the importance of championing gender equality and fostering an environment of mutual support and encouragement. Education has been pivotal in shaping my journey. Armed with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in Multimedia, I initially delved into website development for an IT company. 3. Why did you decide to take up this field of work? Which year was it?
In 2009, at 28, my husband and I decided to dive into entrepreneurship. Fueled by my husband's expertise and our shared passion, we honed in on the shipping industry. Recognizing the untapped potential within this realm and the scarcity of Indian entrepreneurs, we were resolute in our mission to blaze a trail for others to follow. Our choice to enter the shipping industry transcended mere business; it was a bold leap to contribute to an industry ripe for evolution and innovation. Armed with a clear vision and unyielding determination, we embarked on this journey with the conviction that our venture could not only prosper but also inspire others to explore new frontiers in entrepreneurship.

By nurturing myself, I can show up as the best version of myself for my family and business. Flexibility is essential. I've learned to embrace the unpredictability of both motherhood and entrepreneurship, adapting to changing circumstances and being willing to pivot when necessary. This flexibility allows me to roll with the punches and solve any challenges creatively. Ultimately, finding balance is an ongoing journey, not a destination.
