VDJ Royal a.k.a. Sameer Ahmed Poised To Make A Mark On Indian Pop Music Scene

The reason was that music had awakened a yearning inside him, to find a niche for himself as a DJ & Music Producer.

Born and raised in Delhi, before Sameer found music, he was studying English Honours at Shivaji College in Delhi University. It was around that time, in 2017, that he took the first step towards becoming VDJ Royal by launching his own YouTube Channel, VDj Royal. He began with mashups and remixes of original songs and his soulful renditions of the already popular hits made him popular with his listeners. His social media presence on platforms like Instagram, has left his fans asking for more.

He had a dream and it was to achieve 1000 views on his video on YouTube. However, success wasn't easy to come by during the early days because he found himself doing exactly what many other musicians were doing. That is when he introduced the concept of mash ups into his songs and for that he chose both English as well as Hindi language songs. The product that resulted out of this out-of-the-box thinking was the highly popular "Holly Bolly Mashup." The first video that he released under the Holly Bolly Mashup range garnered upto 50 millionn views on YouTube. That one video and its popularity changed everything for Sameer. Within moments, he was hobnobbing with the who's who of the Indian music industry and artists like Mika Singh, Urvashi Rautela and Sukhbir.

After 6 years of joining YouTube as a music artist, his channel has 1.59M subscribers today & 380M video viewership. Today, his remixes feature on Radio Mirchi's Chowk Club Mirchi, where the youth has showered his work with all the love possible.

After having made his mark on social media, Sameer is now gearing up for a career change as a lyricist, composer, and music producer. He is working on songs now and will soon be releasing his own composition. Besides, it is his lifelong dream to compose and release songs in Bollywood. Considering that VDJ Royal is already a verified artist on Spotify, it won't be long before this dream comes true.
