The process of bits of information passing through a series of gates and ending up in the news is called gatekeeping. In journalism, the metaphor of gatekeeping is a popular and enduring one. It's been described as a journalistic role, a model for describing news flow, and a hypothesis for explaining the news selection process. But, in addition to reflecting the complicated process of news production, it is a phrase laden with moral implications. Dr. Ravindra Nath Tiwari is one such name who has been keeping up with these ideologies in the media sector and has created footprints for budding journalists. He has been in mainstream media for over 30 years and holds experience working with Hindustan Newspaper as chief reporter Bhagalpur & state beuro Patna for the last 17 years. Currently being the Editor In Chief Bharat Varta National Monthly Magazine & Web News Network.

He is a well-known figure in the Bihar and Jharkhand journalism worlds. He is the one who exposed numerous widespread corrupt activities in the system, including the flood relief works controversy, B.P.S.C. illegitimate appointments, and the infamous Sahebganj district muster-roll scam. Through his writings, he continues his fight against corruption. His piercing brilliance instills terror and panic in corrupt public officials while also giving the general public the impression that the media is doing its job.

The soil of Sahibganj, where invincible heroes of the Great Santhal Revolution Sido and Kanhu played in their childhood and emerged as a tower of strength for revolutionaries, is the same soil where Dr. Ravindra Nath Tiwari also played in his childhood and revolutionized the trend of media-reports with his fiery-signatures. Dr. Tiwari attended Sahibganj College, Bhagalpur University for post-graduate studies, and Sido-Kanhu University for his thesis, "The Autochthon Paharias on Cross Road: An Analytical Study of Government Measures and Demographic Account of the Tribe on the Verge of Extinction (1953- 1993)."

When asked what advice he would give to the young journalists trying to decipher the right flow of writing a news article, Dr. Ravindra Nath Tiwari stated, "Opinion, advice, comedy, or commentary have no place in a hard-hitting news report. The most important thing is to avoid flowery writing and glistening prose. Your readers are not going to be impressed by a literary masterpiece. It's all about the information you provide. A news story is a condensed version of an article that informs your readers about what happened or who said what; as much art as weaving together beautiful prose for an elegant novel or thought-provoking lyrics, great news writing. And the best news writing makes use of the most fundamental vocabulary and sentence structures. You'd be shocked how much trouble some inexperienced authors have attempting to perfect this simple technique."

Journalism is a competitive and fast-paced field that requires individuals who are quick-thinking, adventurous, curious, and believe in the power of the media. Although the industry has changed dramatically in response to the rise of online news consumption, Dr. Ravindra Nath Tiwari is very well versed in the fact that the job fundamentals remain the same. In fact, he claims that a journalist's life may be both stressful and exhilarating as being a reporter reporting news, one needs to be in the thick of things. Working under duress in high-octane conditions to produce a good tale is a constant adrenaline rush.
