Parul University’s NCC Cadets to once again represent Gujarat State in the forthcoming Republic day Parade

Nurturing a true spirit of national service amongst the youth has been one of the core values of Parul University's Armed Forces Cell. Owing to this agenda, the university has turned its campus into an atmosphere of pride for national service through its NCC students. Recently two of Parul University's Cadets were selected to represent the state of Gujarat at the prestigious Republic Day Parade taking place this coming January 26th. From its morning drills to its sessions with renowned experts, Parul University's Armed Forces Motivational Cell has been extensively making efforts to impart the necessary discipline, leadership qualities while igniting the young minds to serve the nation in any possible capacity.

This is the second consecutive year that the students of Parul University have had the opportunity to take part in this national parade. The duo of 3rd year students from Parul University's Faculty of Engineering and Technology have displayed their hard work and commitment throughout the year that has been fuelled by their passion for serving the nation. Cadet Siddhrajsinh Zala and Cadet Aman Kapoor will be heading to the Garrison Parade Ground in New Delhi to march in celebration of India's Republic Day. Being the active members under the Airwing NCC, the students will participate in the Prime Minister's Parade together with other NCC cadets from across India.

The Republic Day celebrations bring together the young and old from all over India to celebrate the rich cultural heritage in commemoration of the establishment of the largest democracy in the world. This lifetime opportunity will not only be memorable for the participating cadets, but it will once again significantly put the state of Gujarat on the national map. The students will not only get an opportunity to participate in the parade, but they will also gain an exposure to real-time armed forces ventures and exploits. In a statement cadet, Siddhrajsinh Zala shared that "it is a great honour for me to be a part of this grand parade. I am truly grateful to all my mentors who have helped me to wake up every day with a mission to serve my nation, and it is a privilege to be part of something that is greater than me; however, I am grateful to Parul University for motivating me in making this a possibility".

Numerous decorated army personnel have graced the University campus, where they have delivered talk sessions with the University's students. Through such interactions, students like Siddhrajsinh and Aman have been able to acquire first hand experiences from the people who have been serving the Nation. Parul University's students have been engaging with the National Cadet Corps on various levels, and they have been displaying their commitment through excellence in countless initiatives. "Seeing our students display such enthusiasm for this forthcoming Republic Day Parade, truly brings us pride as University as this is a reflection of their commitment towards serving the nation in numerous capacities in the future", said the University's President, Dr. Devanshu J Patel.
