Mira Road based NGO is playing the real Santa for the Underprivileged, for the last 11 years

CHF is nationally recognized for its efforts to inspire and empower people into the culture of giving and bringing about a positive change in the lives of children and society at large. And they yet again surprised the children this Christmas by extending their helping hand, love & care by distributing blankets amongst people living on the streets and sanitary pads to the adolescent girls and women.

The NGO conducted this activity at a large scale in Mumbai and Odisha, where they distributed 200 blankets in Odisha and 400 blankets in Mumbai to the homeless and needy people. These warm blankets were distributed to save the poor and needy who spend their nights on streets from everyday dipping temperatures causing hypothermia, frostbite and shiver. It was like a much needed cozy shield given to them this winter.

Since CHF works constantly across India for the hygiene and sanitation of children, their volunteers visited various communities and conducted awareness sessions on the importance of following safe menstrual hygiene management (MHM). They addressed adolescent girls and women and sensitized them about menstrual hygiene and how it plays an important role in their health. The NGO distributed free Sanitary Pads so that they can practise safe menstrual hygiene. This activity was conducted in Mumbai and Odisha where they distributed 10,500 sanitary pads and 3,220 sanitary pads (respectively). They also sensitize boys, so that they are informed and act responsibly.

Besides their own initiative to help the underprivileged, CHF along with their crowdfunding partner Filaantro, conducted CSR activities in the corporate offices of Aranca and Indoco (Mumbai and Gurugram Offices) for 3days(20th-22nd Dec) where they conducted a Wish Tree Activity to raise donations for the underprivileged.
