Goregaon Gymkhana in association with FullCircle Communications is taking an initiative to invite the ‘Cream de la creme' players to compete with each other in the sport of Mallakhamb. This Indian sport, that dates back from Peshwa Era, is now International and has attracted audience worldwide. It has eventually bloomed on the competitive level while drawing attention of the Government as well as corporates.

FullCircle Communication is now torch-bearing the image-uplifting project of this competitive sports with Champions Trophy, starting with Zonal Level. Goregaon Gymkhana, the reputed club established in 1959 is the active organiser of this tournament where 20 Men's and Women's teams are invited. While the girls will ace the Rope Mallakhamb, the boys will compete, for the Champions Trophy, on the Pole Mallakhamb in this open age group tournament. The gleaming arena will have the Mallakhamb placed on the centre podium, while the audience with a capacity of 400-500 will be seated in an amphitheatre kind of gallery. This glittering event will be held only in the evening from 3pm to 9 pm on both the days.

The popular, the underdogs and even the legend stars of this sport, the national and international players will give their best to triumph this Trophy along with the cash prize. Even a 12-year-old will compete against a 22-year-old in this open age category tournament and that is what will make Champions Trophy remarkable and a treat to watch.

"I am personally looking forward to Champions Trophy. Goregaon Gymkhana team is full of creative minds that produce some extra ordinary ideas and plans and now, that they are organising this tournament I am sure it will be something innovative and exciting. It will be fun to participate", said one of the National Player.

This is definitely an eye pleasing event for all the residents of the Suburb, as they are about to witness a tournament of this unique art form after twenty whole years! It will be a treat for them to witness and be a part of the Magic. The organizers have made sure that this reaches out to maximum people through their social media promotions which are in full swing. Audience is expected from various part of Mumbai Zone along with Thane and New Mumbai.

This First Invitational Mallakhamb Champions Trophy will be held on 16th & 17th of April, 2022 at Pandurang Wadi Ground, Goregaon East. While this is just beginning, the vision for upcoming years is already in place and the both the organisers are excited to excel each year with the scale of this tournament.

"Mallakhamb is a sport that has tremendous potential and it can reach new heights with a fresh outlook. We are creating this Champions trophy IP with a vision for five years. We realise the gap between the audience's understanding of the game and their reservations, and hence have come up with fresh approach towards the operational and functional system. Though this Zonal Level is just a beta version of our vision we are sure it will open few new doors for this sport" commented one of the members from FullCircle Communication.
