Listening to the waves softly crash down and the sparkling view that you get when the sun hits the ocean. Cocktail in one hand, book in another, baby playing nicely, your partner next to you doing something of the same and you feel relaxed. Then the next moment you are snapped back into reality with a tantrum in toddler and a wash load to do. But, sometimes it is good to take these moments, and often I can think about some of the destinations that I would like to travel to. SO here are some of the luxurious escapes to consider for 2023 from HobbyKraze.
Maldives
The Maldives to me seems like one of those destinations that you just have to go to at least once in your life, wouldn't you agree? That might be for a romantic break away with your other half or as a family holiday. I can imagine that The Maldives will still have locations and accommodation for families I am sure of it. There are some spectacular sights. Beautiful oceans and long stretches of sandy beaches far as the eye can see. But the one thing many people travel here for is to witness the sea of stars. The Maldives is definitely one on bucket lists all over the world I am sure of it.

Keeping on with the luxe theme I also think the island of Mauritius is one of those destinations that many people want to see at some point in their lives. It is a nation island in the Indian Ocean. With sprawling beaches and glorious sparkly blue oceans, there really is something for everyone here. Families and couples can enjoy the luxurious surroundings and with accommodation suits all kinds of budgets it is one of the paradise escapes that can be on the radar for anyone. There are some mountainous regions on this island but this gives you beautiful waterfalls and river gorges that are definitely worth a visit while you are here.
Indonesia
Perhaps Indonesia isn't on your radar in terms of bucket list destination, but this is where you could be missing a trick. Jakarta is an up and coming city location that is the perfect spot to explore some of the cultural influences Indonesia has, but also the perfect place to start seeing other regions off the beaten track. Websites online are full of ideal suggestions of some of the best places to stay while you are exploring. If city vibes are less your thing then Bali is perhaps one of the most well-known destinations in Indonesia, and definitely worthy of your time.
Thailand
I think Thailand is more associated with students wanting to take a gap year and go off on their backpacking adventures. But actually, Thailand is a fabulous location to consider for a holiday. Bangkok, the capital, is definitely worthy of a visit just to experience the chaos, but then you also have the amazing beautiful picturesque islands. Ones to mention would include Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
Australia
I guess that Australia is on your bucket list. You and millions of others who don't live in that country want to head to Australia at some point and I don't blame them. It is such a vast country that there is actually so much that you can see and do here. You have the popular locations of Sydney and Melbourne. Both are filled with iconic sights that you can see and do happen to be top of many lists I am sure. However, there are some other aspects of Australia that are definitely worth a mention and adding to your bucket list. Cities like Brisbane and Adelaide are definitely full of fun and excitement. You also have hidden locations where the Australians holiday such as Noosa and Hamilton Island. So much to see and do, and let's not forget the ultimate bucket list addition of swimming in the Great Barrier Reef. As there is so much to see I can see why people choose to travel a little while there, one example would be a road trip.
New Zealand
Heading as far East as you can go and you will end up in New Zealand. Split between two islands known as North and South islands, both are jam-packed with beautiful scenery and things to do. Auckland and Wellington are the two main cities on either island. However, if you are a secret fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, then some of the main sets are still in place here, including Hobbiton.
Hawaii
Maybe you like the idea of heading West and going to Hawaii. This country of islands is actually part of the USA, and definitely, one to see. The main island of Oahu has the capital of Honolulu. Famous for the Waikiki beach region and also houses the World War Two memorials for Pearl Harbour.
Mexico
Mexico is another destination that many people want to go to, and with so many travel agents and airlines making it easier than ever to head to the bustling city of Cancun or the relaxing vibes of Riviera Maya, there is no reason why you can't go to Mexico. There are so many beautiful beaches and Cancun itself is a hustle and bustle of a city waiting to be explored.
The Caribbean
Finally, no daydreaming list will be complete without a mention of The Caribbean islands. There are so many to mention that we would be here all day. But some of the favourites people want to visit are Barbados, The Bahamas, Jamaica and Aruba. Popular for honeymoons, couples and families thanks to great accommodation support kids clubs and safe environments for the children to enjoy. Sandy beaches and glorious seas are as far as the eye can see. Heaven.
I hope that this has given you inspiration for some of the luxurious escapes that you could consider in 2022.
