The same determination and passion we got to see in Professional Physique Athlete & Bodybuilder Karan Kapoor, who recently bagged the Mr World title in Singapore and made all of India proud. Hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Karan began his fitness journey in 2008 when he was only 13 years old.
He was bullied several times as a child, and being a big fat kid encouraged him to continue his fitness journey. Influenced and inspired by Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal, he started working out when he was in 8th grade. Therefore, Karan took to the road to becoming Mr World.
Faced many Hurdles but never gave up
Karan faced many obstacles during his Physique Athlete journey, but he never gave up.

After graduating from high school, he began training at home and joined the gym to build his body. Karan made his fitness model debut in April 2017 at Mr UP Championship, where he finished in 4th place. Since then, he has never looked back, instead of focusing on constantly improving himself and helping others get in shape.
Karan shared his daily workout routine and diet plan, in which he explained that he does high-intensity cardio and two muscle groups per day (morning and evening).
"Everyone's body needs are different, so I researched my own and devised a well-balanced eating plan. I follow a strict diet. I was on a low-carb, high-protein diet that required me to exclude roti, white rice, sugar, milk, spicy, gravy-based foods, preserved foods, and fast food from my diet. Boiled egg whites, boiled chicken, salads, fruits, black coffee, green tea, brown rice, brown bread, omelette, and peanut butter are all part of my daily diet," Karan shared about his diet plan.
Karan made his international bodybuilding debut at the Mr Asia Championships 2019 in Delhi, where he placed in the top 10 and finished in 6th place.
Karan's path of transformation is very inspiring because he remained dedicated to his goal until he achieved it. His dedication is exemplary because, in the modern world, it is difficult to find people who are purposeful and constantly striving to achieve something. Especially when it comes to fitness, people have to work really hard to stay completely healthy. And Karan's transformation is certainly an inspiration to anyone who aspires to get in shape.
Started winning medals
Karan won his first official gold medal at Mr Punjab 2020, organized by the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Association in Pathankot and won the silver medal at the same championship in 2022 Mr Punjab Championship. This event was organized by FIF.
Karan is not just a certified fitness athlete, but he is also a Nutrition & Supplement Specialist from IIFEM (International Institute of Fitness Excellence & Management).
Post-pandemic, 2021 has been a fruitful year for Karan as he participated in several major championships throughout the year.
He won a bronze medal in the Mr INDIA championship and placed 3rd in the Mr North INDIA championship. In the same year, Karan participated in NPC Mr Himachal 2021 and won the gold medal there. After that, Karan competed in the 2021 Mr UP Championship and placed 2nd.
Karan has also collaborated with some protein brands, such as âBig Muscles Nutrition', âKapiva Vegan Protein' and âZenith Sports Nutrition'.
In 2022, Karan got the opportunity to compete outside of India. He competed in the 2022 FIF Dennis Worldwide Classic Pro/Am in Singapore and won the Mr. World title in the overall pro category.
Same year, Karan won the Mr Himachal 2022 NPC title where he secured the gold medal in the 1st overall category.
Karan believes that some Indian will be crowned with Mr Olympia's title very soon. He said, "Time has changed a lot, and there are so many Indian athletes that are getting succeed on the international stage, that day is not too far when some Indian will win the title of Mr. Olympia."
