Dr. Nagarekha Hebsur is a distinguished medical professional with a rich background in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her MBBS degree at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, from 1990 to 1995, and subsequently pursued her DGO from the same institution from 1996 to 1998. Dr. Hebsur embarked on her professional journey as a Lecturer at KMC Hubli in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she contributed to the academic growth of aspiring medical students from 1998 to 1999. Her dedication to serving the community led her to take on the role of Honorary Medical Officer at Old Hubli Municipality Hospital, Hubli, where she provided medical care and expertise from 1998 to 2003.
Recognizing the importance of extending her expertise beyond traditional healthcare facilities, Dr. Hebsur played a pivotal role as a consultant for Antenatal scans and consultations at various institutions. She offered her services at Mundgod DTR Hospital (Tibetan Hospital) for 15 years (1998 to 2013), Shiggaon, a rural area near Hubli, for 15 years, Lokhre Hospital Khalgatgi at nominal rates for 15 years, and in Shiratti, a rural area, for 15 years.
Dr. Hebsur's compassionate and humanitarian spirit shone through her initiatives. She began conducting free laparoscopic tubectomy procedures for underprivileged patients since 2000, ensuring that financial constraints did not hinder access to essential healthcare.

Her entrepreneurial drive led her to establish Hebsur Hospital in 2000, initially an 8-bedded facility that she expanded to a 25-bedded hospital in 2012. Over the years, she has steered the hospital to success and has become a respected figure in the medical community.
Beyond her medical pursuits, Dr. Hebsur has been an active member of various social organizations, including the Rotary Club, Innerwheel Club, and Tangent Club. She has tirelessly advocated for women's health through informative programs on menstrual hygiene for adolescent girls and other women's health topics since 1998.
Dr. Hebsur's interests extend to yoga and nutrition, reflecting her holistic approach to health and well-being. Her commitment and contributions have earned her accolades and recognition, including the Best Tangent President Award in 2016, the Best Rotarian Award for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023), and the Mahila Manikya Award in 2023.
In addition to her medical and community endeavors, Dr. Hebsur is involved in the Hebsur Dhyanamritha Goshala, a Goshala that she runs in association with Dhyan Foundation, showcasing her dedication to animal welfare and sustainable practices.
In an innovative move, Dr. Hebsur introduced a Ramp Walk for pregnant women, a unique initiative that she has conducted for four years. This event, the first of its kind in North Karnataka, not only celebrates pregnancy but also promotes body positivity and self-confidence among expectant mothers.
