Dr. Sumit Sinha honoured with Brands Impact Healthcare Excellence Award 2022

Owing to his vast experience of more than 22 years in the field of neurosurgery and spine surgery and having performed thousands of complex Brain and Spine operations through the keyhole and endoscopic approaches, Dr. Sumit Sinha, Director of Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery at Paras Hospital Gurgaon has been honoured as ‘Most Profound Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon in Delhi-NCR' at Healthcare Excellence Awards 2022 presented by India's leading branding organization, Brands Impact. The award was presented to him by the renowned Bollywood actress & Jewelry designer, Neelam Kothari Soni at the ceremony held at Radisson Blu, New Delhi.

Brands Impact organized the Healthcare Excellence Awards which aims to recognize the efforts of doctors and healthcare organizations in making our healthcare system one of the best in the world. Winners are announced on the parameters of quality, experience, qualifications, success ratio, social work and much more.

Speaking on this spectacular achievement, Dr. Sinha said- "The present-day neurosurgery and spine surgery has become absolutely safe and minimalistic and this has been made possible owing to several technological advancements in the field. We at Paras hospitals deliver state of the art world-class neurosurgical and spine services with excellent patient outcomes".

In order to enhance his neurosurgical skills and expertise, Dr. Sinha worked in various parts of the world with multiple neurosurgical stalwarts including Prof. Hiroshi Sano from Japan, Prof. Louise Vialle from Brazil and Prof. B Meyer from Germany. He is also an accomplished researcher with several scientific research projects under his name, funded by national agencies such as ICMR and DBT. He has acclaimed several national and international awards to his name and has more than 250 research publications in various peer-reviewed neurosurgical journals. The most prominent of his research projects being the role of stem cells in spinal cord injuries and finding a miracle neuro- protectant for traumatic brain injury, funded by the ICMR and DBT for which he won the prestigious " Young Investigator research grant".

He has also been instrumental in establishing a cadaver dissection laboratory at JPNA Trauma Centre, AIIMS- which was funded by a generous research grant provided by the Indian Council of Medical Research in New Delhi. This facility is one of its own kind in India and abroad, where thousands of young surgeons have developed their surgical skills by practicing on human cadavers.

In the past, Dr. Sumit Sinha has also been awarded the "Young Neurosurgeon Award" by the Japanese cerebrovascular surgery society, and "Best Neurosurgeon award" by the Zee Healthcare excellence awards and Times Healthcare awards. He has been invited for presenting his vast experience and research work both in the country and abroad several times. Winning the Healthcare Excellence Award is one step forward towards his ambition to offer advanced healthcare to millions of people.
