Lipi Khandhar
A quote by Kalapan Chawla, "The path from dreams to success does exist. May you have the vision to find it, the courage to get on it, and the perseverance to follow it." always reverberates with Lipi Khandhar, who is committed to uplifting the stature of women to its rightful place.
Lipi Khandhar is the epitome of empowerment. A turning point in her life came when an old woman sat shared her maudlin tale of being a puppet at the hands of poverty one evening. Lack of financial aid stymied her efforts to earn a decent living.
Lipi took the initiative to help the women by guiding how her dreams could become a reality with the help of Mudra Yojna by the Government of India. This kindled the desire to empower people by disseminating information about resources to bring them close to their goals.
Following this noble pursuit, Lipi traveled across the country to be the flagbearer of spreading awareness about government schemes and initiatives. During this venture, she realized that in order to upscale and formalize her work, something elemental was required.
Hence, she founded the 'Know Your Rights Foundation' with the aim to make rural India aware of fundamental rights and the opportunities that can help them live a financially independent and dignified life.
As part of this pathfinder non-profit organization, Lipi uses strategic campaigns to create a progressive and enlightened rural India. The adept team at KYR works meticulously to bring a revolution in rural India by creating a sustainable tech-savvy ecosystem.
They envision enabling rural India to match the pace of the 21st century by utilizing various public policies like government schemes, and subsidies, at their disposal. The organization strives to continuously put in such incremental efforts with the potential to bring sustained and inclusive transformation of financial independence.
In order to be the vocal supporter of women's rights, the organization has identified specific key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the success of its awareness strategies. These indicators have helped them scale their campaigns for growth and digital engagement across the nation by directly involving with their audience. In order to further this initiative, they have created a strong network of Gujarat sarpanch and are working closely with them to work at the grassroots level.
The organization has launched a dedicated website that acts as a one-point destination to gather relevant information about a scheme launched by the government of India.
The Founder has also actively engaged as a medical assistant during Kerala Flood relief work. Earlier, her quest to put her contribution towards women's rights led her to lead various campaigns as a trustee of Siddharth Circle Of Childcare.
"Since childhood, I have witnessed the woes of those who are resourceless and in need of help. I feel fortunate if I am able to extend help and empower people. The biggest problem today is that though there are steps being taken to assist rural people, the awareness is much less. This leads to a vicious cycle of ignorance, and the underprivileged never get to benefit from incentives and rights granted to them. Our pursuit with our non-profit organization is to connect and empower more and more in need so as to enable them to come out of their situations", says Lipi Khandahar on her vision.
These words of wisdom speak volumes about the vision, intent, and hard work that Lipi has put in, to work towards this initiative selflessly.
In the future, they have planned to launch an app that can guide users, providing detailed information about the government's public policies. To make this app more user-centric, it will have information available in regional languages. This will be supported by a helpline number where people can ask queries pertaining to various policies.
