A man was robbed of Rs 1.5 lakh by some motorcycle-borne persons while he was on his way to deposit the cash at a bank in Lal Kothi area in Jaipur, police said.

Ram Lal Gera, a 75-year-old tyre shop owner, was walking towards the bank when he was intercepted by the robbers who snatched away his bag, police said.

To nab the robbers, all check posts had been alerted and a combing operation had begun, police added.
