Karnataka state government has assured all kinds of help for the proposed Tata Nano car production unit.
After a meeting with Tata officials in Hubli, chief minister Yedyurappa said the meet was successful.
In a press meet after the meeting Yedyurappa said the state has assured all possible support for setting up Nano plant at Belur near Dharwad.
"All their requirements shall be met. We have assured to fulfill their three major requirements; such as on water, land and electricity. The Tata officials were positive throughout the meeting," said Yedyurappa.
While Tata Motors was represented by its MD Ravikanth, officials from Karnataka were led by industry minister Murugeh Nirani. The team also inspected the 1200-acres land at Belur earmarked for the Nano plant.
Ratan Tata is expected to meet Yedyurappa next week in this regard.
