Two employees of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) were given a clean chit after they were detained and quested by sleuths on suspicious terror links.
The duo, working as fitters in the helicopter division, resumed duty on Saturday after they went to their native places to celebrate Id-ul-Fitr.
Based on the leads provided by terror suspects arrested in Mumbai, Mumbai ATS, with the help of the city police, picked up the two youth suspecting their connections with the Indian Mujaheedin (IM).
After a few hours of questioning, the investigating agency ruled out any terror links and gave the duo a clean chit.
Meanwhile, a senior HAL officer was summoned by the city police for questioning on suspicion as he tendered his resignation in a hurry.
Police verification found Mohamed Khalid has got a job in the Regional Transport Authority department and he resigned as he was asked to join duty within 15 days.
The officials have been asked to detain any suspicious individuals and question them, if required. All security measures have been beefed up followed IB inputs that terror groups are planning to carry out subversive activities in Darasa and other festive seasons in the state, said a senior police officer.
