Delhi: The Japanese embassy on Tuesday received an email warning of terrorist attacks in the capital.
Delhi Police PRO, Rajan Bhagat said, "The embassy received the email warning of a terrorist attack. The email has been forwarded to the Special Cell for studying the details."
Sources in the police said that the sender of the email had threatened of attacks in the capital's busy Sarojini Market and a few places near the embassies in Chanakyapuri.
A special cell officer who spoke to MID DAY said that the email sender was not Indian Mujahidin, the group that had earlier sent emails to private news channels.
