The Noida Police claimed to have busted a gang of car thieves active in the national capital region with the arrest of six people.

The police identified the six accused as - Shamshad, Jalaluddin, Ram Niwas, Irfan, Irshad and Anwar. Police recovered 11 cars from them as well as three live bullets.

According to the police, the gang was involved in at least 18 cases of car thefts in Noida.

"We had received specific information on them and arrested the accused from Sector-93. All are residents of Noida and nearby places," said the police official.
