While recording for her chat show with Aamir Khan and Rakhi Sawant hit it off so well that Aamir impulsively invited Rakhi to his nephew's premiere on Thursday night. And Rakhi decided to turn up looking her attention-seeking best."Ashley Rebello gave me this wonderful dress. I had to look special for Aamir. She is also candid enough to admit her English is not quite up to the mark. And yet she's being made to conduct a chat show in English. "I've to resort to Hinglish.
Kya karoon? Main zyada English nahin bol sakti. But as always, I'm working hard. There's no word like impossible in my dictionary. Rakhi Sawant ban na mushqil hi nahin, namumkin hai."
Aamir has, apparently, given the item girl the carte blanche to invite him to perform in a dance number. Rakhi just finished recorded the first episode of her new chat show and she can't stop raving about the star. "Aamir ke saath itna mazaa aya. Log Aamir ko khadoos kehte hain. I say Aamir is the best human being in the world.
I just wrote him a small letter inviting him to my show as my lucky charm. And he sportingly answered every question I asked him. I asked him the most personal questions. No anchor in Hindustan would dare ask Aamir what I did. Personal sawaal, very, very personal. Aamir has given me so much importance. If you call him from your heart, he'll hear you.
"I've no words to describe Aamir. He has offered to do an item song with me. Aamir said, 'If you've a song to offer me, I'll happily do it for you.' I'm fortunate. I think I'll change my name to Lucky Sawant."
Rakhi is equally fond of the second guest on her chat show. "Vidya Balan is so down to earth. I learnt something from her. It doesn't matter what she wears. Her acting is outstanding even in her new phone ads. Woh apne face ka khati hai, body ka nahin. Her face is so pretty no one looks at her body. I wish the same could be said about me one day. But I know it won't happen."
Rakhi's parting resolution. "I'll never call guests on my show to grill them and belittle them. If you harass anyone on the show, God will harass you back. I'm going to make sure the guests are going to be comfortable on my show. And I'll be a listener. My proudest moment was after I recorded with Aamir, he said, 'Rakhi, you're amazing. People should learn self-confidence from you.'"
Now Rakhi wants to call every glamorous star on her show. "After Aamir, I've the confidence to invite anyone."
