Now that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's long-in-the-planning 'Padmavati' is finally set to roll, the filmmaker has another problem on hand — dealing with the film's male leads, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

Word is that the two cannot stand each other. The filmmaker has been calling Sasha and Ranveer for frequent dinners to his place in a bid to get them to gel. But, the two are in no mood to break bread together. There is also buzz that Ranveer feels betrayed by Bhansali. 'Padmavati' was pitched as an anti-hero project, but the script has gone through several changes keeping in mind Shahid's seniority and apparent demand for a meaty role.

In the process, Ranveer is being made out to be like any other villain, and not an anti-hero as promised earlier. He hasn't been able to make peace with that yet. Initially, 'Masaan' (2015) actor Vicky Kaushal was signed to play Sasha's role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Chittor, but Deepika Padukone with her new-found Hollywood star status was in no mood to romance the two-film old Vicky. The clock is ticking and with less that a month to go for the shoot, the filmmaker has lots to contend with. We are waiting to see what happens when the two cross paths when the film goes on floors.
