The man behind Spice Girls and American Idol, Simon Fuller is on the brink of launching a global pop group.
Along with his team, the entrepreneur will come to the city next week to hunt for singing and dancing talent to represent India along with artistes from 10 other countries, including the UL, Japan, Mexico and Brazil.
Sources say Now United will combine singing and dancing with real-time access to the group's music and lives, allowing fans to engage with them.
In a statement, Fuller said, "I have always loved the rich, colourful nature and scale of Indian music and dance, so I am putting together this innovative global pop group.
I am looking for someone extraordinary, who, of course, can dance and sing, but beyond that, can in every way represent India on the world stage. It's essential that we have the sound of India showcased in what we hope will become the biggest pop group in the world."
Fuller has been flooded with online applications and the first round of auditions will be held in Mumbai on December 21.
